What is Cocaine?

Cocaine is a crystalline tropane alkaloid that is obtained from the leaves of the coca plant.  This drug made it first big appearance in the United States in the early 1960’s and has remained as one of the leading abused drugs in the United States since.  Cocaine can be obtained through drug lords that trafficked it into the United States or even from people that make their own and sell it, not that common.
